The Objects Room is an independent online shop for fine antiques and decorative objects, sourced from the UK and across the world.

 

The collection includes 19th and 20th century ceramics and silver, decorative objects, art, antique frames and mirrors, chosen for their quality, character and the craftsmanship behind them.

 

The Objects Room grew out of a lifelong fascination with antiques and more than 20 years spent buying, selling, collecting and living with object of quality and character. I’m interested in more than simply finding something old. I want to understand why an object is special, how it was made and what makes it worth keeping.

 

My appreciation for craftsmanship also comes from many years working in bespoke framing, restoration and gilding as an owner at G.P. Framing Services. Working closely with frames and art gave me a particular appreciation for the details that are easily missed — the materials, techniques and the skill involved in making something that lasts.

 

That same eye now shapes The Objects Room. I look for pieces that are interesting, beautifully made, slightly unusual, or simply have something about them that makes you want to stop and look twice.

 

Every object has a story. I'm interested in finding the good ones.
